High-school Students from 5 provinces of Armenia Visit UNO Office
On May 10, 2009 a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between United Nations Department of Public Information Yerevan Office and “Jinishian” Memorial Foundation" having the aim to increase the knowledge and interest of young Armenians about the UN goals and principles which make up the key issues related to the development of civil society, democracy and human rights.
Within the framework of this collaboration UN DPI hosted high-schoolers of 5 provinces of Armenia in UN Armenia Office during the period of 13-20 May, 2009, delivered briefings about UN, UN Reference Library, screened video films, provided the schools and high-school students with UN publications and posters.
High-school students accompanied by their teachers visited the UN Armenia office on the following days:
13 May, 2009 – 10 schools from Kotayk region, 33 high-schoolers and 10 teachers. 15 May, 2009 - 10 schools from Armavir region, 40 high-schoolers and 10 teachers. 18 May, 2009 - 9 schools from Gegharkunik region, 36 high-schoolers and 9 teachers. 19 May, 2009 - 11 schools from Lori region, 40 high-schoolers and 11 teachers. 20 May, 2009 - 12 schools from Shirak region, 35 high-schoolers and 12 teachers.
